Sanjay Singh

Sanjay Singh has been involved in Motorsports, as well as building and racing rotaries, since the age of 10. He says the 1994 Mazda RX-7 was chosen after “[falling] in love with the body, the engine and just the natural aura that comes along with it.”

Singh says he also needed something that can handle daily drives while also leaving a mark at the track.

“I found, using my extensive knowledge on designing, a setup that could be road and track worthy at the same time to be very exciting and unique,” explains Singh. “It’s not everyday that you see an RX-7 parked at the slopes with a snowboard on the back!”

Bringing this car to life includes a custom race extended 13b REW street port, St. May’s Shotgun exhaust, BorgWarner S366 turbo and an Apexi Power FC Pro.

“My plan [for] the future is to go with more aerodynamics,” Singh goes on to say. “Starting with a much more aggressive front splitter to remove the lift I am getting when I push hard into corners.”

His strategy to accomplish this is by investing in an electronic water pump, which he says will clear the engine bay, allowing more airflow to reach the engine and turbo.

Singh also says sharing his stories and experiences with like-minded individuals is what motivates him to keep pushing forward. As such, Singh has travelled to the world to gain inspiration, from North America to South America, to different parts of Asia.

“I want to show the aspiring automotive communities from around the world that anything is possible as long as you believe and strive forward,” Singh concludes. “…I traveled to many countries and learnt quite a lot to [turn] my dream [into] what I have today.”

“My favorite modification to this day [is the] Buddy Club Spec seat, mainly due to the fact that I feel so comfortable daily driving and also on the track.

The seat was not designed for the car and I had to use a CNC mill at the shop to create some super sturdy brackets that still allowed it to be slidable for when I had passengers in the back seat. It also needed to sit low enough where I was not hitting my helmet on the roof whenever I tried to get in and out.

I cut seconds of my old personal bests and was very content with this change!”
