Benny Jones purchased the 2008 Mitsubishi Evolution 10 while in Alaska in 2016. The Evo 10 was originally to be sold/traded for a Nissan R35 but Jones' father passed away in December 2016, and as a result he decided to keep it and dedicate it to his father. "I wanted to modify it [Evo] to make a wave in Minnesota to inspire other people to build," mentions Jones. MAPerformance and a couple of his friends helped to complete the build over a span of a few months (April-July, 2017).
