STORY:
As the automotive scene progresses, we always find ourselves trying to keep up with what's new or what's going on. I was 17 when I picked up my first car. Being a new guy to the automotive lifestyle I had a lot to learn and catch up to. After I graduated and landed a great job in the medical field, I knew I was ready and able to afford a car of my own and take on full responsibilities on growing up.
It was around May 2011 when I started looking at cars I liked and which caught my attention. My top pick was a Volkswagen GTI. Why? Well having friends who've been in the Euro car scene helps motivate and show you what's out there and how awesome the cars can look. Upon searching and searching the web everyday for the right car that suited me, I couldn't find the one.
I was outside one evening during May of 2011 when my neighbor mentioned to me about Hyundai's new sports coupe. I know we've all said it: "HYUNDAI?! What do you mean?" Well, he was the one who introduced me to this beautiful, sporty coupe. After doing tons of research and reading reviews of the car, I was truly in love and made it my goal from there on out.
November 30, 2011 was the date I finally found this car, which took me forever to get. The best part was that it was Black Friday and I was buying a black coupe.
Over the course of the 2 1/2 years owning the car, I've modded it so much. This car being my heavily suited daily driver, I knew I wasn't going to go so big on the motor out the box because I needed something reliable and not causing issues down the road. So I went with the form over function look to suit me best. My car currently sits on Megan Racing Street coilovers with a 3/8-inch line Universal Air Ride creating a bag over coil. Next, my car’s wheel setup is "Rotiform WRW" in a transparent polish, brushed gold, and wrapped in Falken tires.
To accommodate my exterior look, my goal was to go for a classy/VIP, yet sporty feel. My hood is a CF HC vented racing hood and my trunk is an ARK Performance CFX trunk with a CF racing diffuser for my rear bumper. My front bumper I'm running Vis Racing CF fog bezels, along with an RMR CF grill to accommodate my APR CF Front Splitter. The headlights I'm running are Spec-D Audi styled headlights, and in the rear I converted my 2010 lights to the new 2013-14 full LED taillights. Another small minor detail I added was LED side mirrors directly imported from Korea.
Moving on into my interior, I have custom stitched "Bride" interior along with the door panels, with a Grip Royal quick release setup. As far as my audio setup goes, I have a simple 1,200-watt Sony amp and JBL 1000 10-inch sub.
In my engine bay, we have Cusco oil catch cans, with Synapse Racing short ram intake, and TurboXS RFL blow-off valve. This car is not nearly done as to where I want it to be, but I know I'm happy how far it's come.

FAVORITE MODIFICATION
My favorite and most helpful mod I've done is the UAS airbag over Megan coilovers. This car is my daily and driving everywhere can sometimes lead you onto bad streets or driveways where you need that slight height rise to get over without messing up the bottom of your car. Also, riding on air to me feels a lot more comfortable than the spring of the coilover.
