STORY
After a successful 1st year of audio competition with my 4Runner, I decided that I wanted to do a dedicated system in a different car. Something different. I looked at several luxury cars and came across the Lexus on Craigslist. It was in awesome condition, but needed a little suspension and steering work so the price was right.
Within a few days it was parked at Advance Audio in Wichita where I stripped the car down and started the sound deadening and running wires. The original system plan changed several times over the months and got more elaborate. I am not sponsored by a store or manufacturer, so all the equipment was chosen strictly for performance.
After about four months, I took car to get suspension upgraded to handle the weight and lower the ride height. Then the car went to the garage for Jerod Chastain (now owner of Connections Car Audio) to finish detail work, wiring, upholstery, and other technical details.
The car was ready just one day before USACI regionals in Kansas City, in which 1st place qualified me for national competition. We have been refining and perfecting all aspects of install with high hopes of placing well at joint car audio finals in Nashville this October.
