After having a long, successful stint with a modified 2001 Honda Prelude, Gilbert Rivera decided it was time for a change. With a new baby girl on her way, Rivera began looking for something that would suit his new lifestyle.
“I’m a diehard Honda fan. So I looked at the lineup,” he writes. “I did not want to go down the same old route of Civic or Accord, I wanted something different because I knew I would modify it in some way.”
That’s when he found the 2012 Honda Crosstour EX-L. Since making the purchase in 2014, Rivera has made significant modifications to the exterior, lighting, interior and multimedia. He’s also made various performance tweaks with the help of K&N, Megan Racing, KSport, Universal Air Suspension, Viair and R1 Concepts and EBC Brakes. The build is just about complete, with the remaining work being “another wrap color change and possible interior change.”
