Navid Haq says he purchased the 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 because of the distinct features that can be found when compared to its related models.

“About 85% of people I run into say ‘Oh, you drive a Mazda 6,’ not knowing there is a big difference,” he writes. “Turbocharged, all-wheel drive, 6-speed manual. You wouldn't know by its sleeper look, however, a real enthusiast can see the difference.”

Haq has put a number of aftermarket parts into his build since making the purchase, including a CorkSport Power Series exhaust, intake and turbo inlet pipe; Air Lift AutoPilot V2 air ride management, LED conversion kit and an Alpine M500 amplifier with a Kicker CompVR 12-inch subwoofer. There’s also plenty planned for the future, including a Treadstone TR8 front mount intercooler, Prosport boost gauge, JBR 3-port EBCS and 3-inch intake, turbo upgrade and racing seats.
