Peter Rodriguez purchased the 1998 Porsche 986 Boxster in June 2014 while serving on active duty in the military. Rodriguez has always loved cars as a kid growing up, especially Porsche but never thought he could afford one, until the day he actually got one. The decision to modify the 986 was not entirely his. In addition to the boredom of the OE look, many people encouraged him to modify the 986 to show its true beauty. With the help of 2 friends, they cut the rear of the 986 to prep for the AIT fenders flares. Once prepped, the 986 made its way to Pro Customs in Oceanside, CA where the body kit was painted and installed. A set of Bilstein PSS9 coilovers were installed by Mulligan Racing in Vista, CA, while the drilled and slotted brake rotors, wheels and tires and muffler delete with straight pipe from the catalytic convertor were installed by Rodriquez. The 986 is far from complete, as plans for Tarett Engineering competition suspension and GT3 control arms are in the near future.
