Phil Chien had spent some time outside the car scene on hiatus during his time working multiple jobs and attending school. His favourite car was the AE86, and when Toyota announced a spiritual successor to the model was coming in the form of the FR-S, he knew he was destined to come back to the wild world of modified cars. In just a short time, his 2013 Scion FR-S has seen several iterations as he continues to chase the perfect build for himself.

FAVORITE MODIFICATION:
"My favorite modification is my Jackson Racing Supercharger. It is the essential modification needed to the FRS/BRZ platform. The tail happy sports car needed a little oomph to complete the ultimate driving feel and the Jackson Racing Rotrex Supercharger is the perfect fit. Creating linear power that is smooth across the power band and kicks in very early in the RPM range is a pure joy to experience. And the greatest feature of this kit for those who live in California? It's C.A.R.B. legal. So I got to drive without fear and was able to concentrate on the thrill that is a boosted FRS."
