It all started for Brock Mills when he was selling cars at work one day. "I was tired of driving around my big pick-up truck and burning gas like crazy," mentions Mills, "I have always been an import fan having built many different types of vehicles." Mills was at a point of his life where he was ready to get back into it, but with something that made sense, size-wise for his family. He looked around for a few weeks and finally found what he was looking for, "I stumbled across the Scion xB platform and that's where it all started!"
Mills pulled the trigger, bought a 2009 Scion xB and brought it home. Initially, a few of his friends gave him a little bit of grief. "A few actually challenged me to see if I could make it a cool little car," laughs Mills, "I accepted the challenge and it has been nothing but constant modifications, changes and upgrades since the day I bought it." Mills has thoroughly enjoyed the xB as it is awkward and not often modified. He's also learned a lot about it as he's done every upgrade to the car himself. "I believe the best thing about the xB is the styling that I chose to do, and I really decided to stay away from the mainstream upgrades." Mills ended up with an xB that does not look or perform like any other in the world!
Mills gets a lot of motivation from his team, NvUS, and other auto enthusiasts around the world. "I always told myself that I would never give up on anything that I started," expresses Mills, "I am just now hitting the three-year mark of ownership and my modifications are only in the beginning stages of where I see this car."
We truly cannot wait to see what the future holds for Mills and his Scion xB, and the fun he's having along the way.
