As a fan of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, Alex Maymi's passion for all things automotive grew stronger and became more relevant when he noticed a Subaru WRX STI hatchback on the screen. Maymi knew it was at that moment of the car he was going to buy, drive and build. But before he could make his dream into a reality, his first car, a 1991 Acura Integra, helped him with the initiation and experience he needed. "The first thing I did [to it] was put a loud exhaust on," mentions Maymi.

He purchased a 2011 Subaru WRX at a local Subaru dealership in Colorado and planned to keep it stock, "but obviously it didn't," laughs Maymi. "Building and customizing it gave me the ability to make my own art," he states, "I can envision what I want my car then act on it."

Maymi thanks his friends that helped him install parts on his WRX, and appreciated their guidance with his first major build. "It will continue to grow!"
