Matthew Foltyn frequently saw the Mazda Miata on the road at a young age and always thought he could drive it because it was the perfect size. "I thought they were just the neatest things ever," remembers Foltyn. In 2011, he found a 1992 Mazda Miata in Brooklyn NY. "It needed a lot of work," he mentions, "from paint, interior, engine." What helped Foltyn pull the trigger on the purchase was the price, "it was cheap. So, I got it!"
For the last 8 years Foltyn has modified the Miata year year. "If I showed you the car now from what it was 8 years ago you wouldn't think it was the same car," he states. Each year, Foltyn pushes the limit on what he thinks he could always do next. "I never settle for 'okay' and I will always continue to push the limits of my build."
Foltyn has plenty of friends over the years that have helped with the build. Wether it was from paint to the turbo build, to as simple as changing a tire - his friends, as support, is a massive thing in the car community. "It not only helps with the car but it overall makes you a more respected person and a better person."
