Corey Duncan: 2007 Acura TL Type-S

Corey Duncan wanted the Acura TL ever since it came out. "I couldn't afford it as a kid," he mentions, "in 2014, I was homeless and in highschool. I worked 80 hours a week, went to school and got a good job to get myself afloat. In 2016, he overpaid for a 2007 Acura TL Type S because it was his first above average car." Duncan planned on using it as his daily-driver after he crashed his 2007 Honda Accord. "I lost my license for racing it," remembers Duncan, "thinking it was fast. When he got his license reinstated he decided to stance it so he'd have to drive it slow.

Duncan started with something different for him - a joker engine bay, (air) bags, larger and wider wheels and horrible fitment. The next year, he started going at it more. "I had all sorts of complications along the way," states Duncan. "The original shop who had my car messed everything up completely. I have had to rewire and redo my entire car, and constantly replace parts," he mentions. Duncan was able to do some of the repairs himself, but most of it was with the help of his friend, Chance (@hartwell_tailored). "Chance fixed everything that the shop messed up."

Along the way, Duncan modified the Acura TL he never imagined possible for himself. "I made the car a representation of myself," he mentions. Duncan wanted to build the car as a trophy for himself and to the town he grew up in. "Being that it was a very rich town and I wasn't." For a very long time, Duncan's nickname has been Joker and he's always stuck out like a sore thumb. "So I figured I'd make the car stick out as well."
