Shavaun Brown: 2011 Infiniti G37x Coupe

Shavaun Brown got involved in the car scene by a friend. "He was building a turbo Acura Integra and it was pushing out 320 hp to the wheel," he remembers. Seeing him go through all the stages and to see a great outcome made Brown believe he could do the same with his car. "I always liked the VQ motor and wanted an Infiniti G35 when they first came out but I was too young to drive at the time."

Brown bought the 2011 Infiniti G37x from Harte Infiniti in Hartford, CT after a long two-month search. "I really wanted a 6-speed but because of New England's weather and snow," states Brown, "I decided to stick with the all-wheel drive model." He decided to (really) modify the G37x when he see a grey and bagged G37s show-up to a meet and air out. "At the time I didn't know much about air suspension," mentions Brown, "so talking to the guy about his car and his setup made me interested in buying it for my G37." At the time Brown had D2 Racing coilovers, Takeda long tube intakes, Berk resonated test pipes, Megan Racing Y pipe and a muffller delete; it wasn't quite the tone he was looking for but it was good for him (for the time being).

"As the time went by I decided to order a cat-back ARK Performance exhaust system," mentions Brown. It wasn't too raspy with little-to-no drone which is what he wanted.

Brown appreciates his friends and the shop, ACI Dynamix, who helped build his car, and gets inspiration from @peachy.88 and @black_gsuss. "Their builds are beyond amazing to me and how they achieved their fitment," mentions Brown. "It takes time to get to such a goal, and yes the money could buy you everything you need to build a car, but when you add your own details here and there to be different, it's very unique."
