ABOUT THE BUILD
Trey Walker purchased the car when it was coming off a four year lease in May 2009. HE didn't modify it for the first two years but he began modifying it in the summer of 2011, starting with the exterior by buying wheels/tires (Rota G-Force 18x9" powder coated white). Once he did that, he saw that it looked terrible with the wheel gap and no ground effects kit on it. Shortly after, he bought Megan coilovers and the XRS ground effects body kit. After installing the Megan coilovers, he noticed the front would not go low enough. So, he decided to buy Swift Motorsport springs in order to go lower. Other things that have been installed on the exterior are a carbon fiber hood which he decided to have painted on the sides, APC tail lights and a carbon fiber C-Mod grille.
With the interior, he pulled all the parts out of the car including the dashboard and headliner and wrapped them all in ultra suede. In order to add the finishing touches to the exterior, the cream trunk was then painted black and a custom suede enclosure was customized and created by Trey. Prior to Importfest in Toronto, Canada, he also added a Works Bell Hub, NRG Quick Release and NRG Steering Wheel.
For audio, he stuck with an Alpine head-unit, subwoofer, and Stinger Electronics amplifier kit. What makes the system - the HP Touchpad where all the music is chosen from. The HP Touchpad is held with a Ram Mount touchpad holder.
Performance-wise, not many things are available for this particular vehicle. So, Trey did what he could with a Magnaflow Exhaust System with a resonator delete along with an Injen Cold Air Intake.
Lastly, over the summer while he attended attended Importfest with his Matrix, he was able to win 3rd Baddest Toyota!
