Jamarri Whiteside knew he wanted a WRX from the moment it hit the U.S. market in 2002. At first he decided to wait until 2004 when the STI was being released, deciding later to wait even longer, and in 2007 he finally pulled the trigger. That was the year Whiteside spotted a used, stock Aspen White 2006 Subaru STI for sale. Owned by a gentleman in his 60s, the daily driver was barley used and Whiteside saw the perfect platform to build his vision. Being no stranger to car shows, Whiteside says he's seen plenty of trends come and go, and with this in mind, he was determined to go a different route than he had with previous show vehicles. His vision: a performance-based show car. Since 2007, Whiteside has created multiple looks for the STI, which has garnished a number of top awards throughout the West Coast. His proudest accomplished to-date was in 2010 when his STI was recognized on the cover of Import Tuner. There's no stopping Whiteside, as he has even more ideaa that he can't wait to put into action. Some of these ideas include a new paint job, wheels, wing, interior, motor swap and wide body.

FAVORITE MODIFICATION:
Whiteside's favorite modification is the front fenders. These were purchased and personally customized by cutting them, allowing air escape and becoming wider to hold his 315s. It began as just a simple idea but Whiteside says he's now constantly asked what type of fenders are on his STI. He's yet to see anyone else do that same thing, and says it gives off a wide body style while also serving a functioning purpose.
