As child raised with Gran Turismo, Massimo Macera knew at a young age he’d one day be the owner of an STI. In November of 2010, the opportunity of a lifetime came along in the form of a 2011 Subaru STI, fresh off the assembly line. But what started as a dream quickly turned into a nightmare. Motor after motor blown and countless trips to the garage, Macera eventually realized he’d essentially have to rebuild the engine. Of course it didn’t stop there, as the STI has basically been modified from the ground-up.
