August 2017 marks exactly one year since Fifo Fanek was involved in a very bad accident in his 2015 BMW M3 by a distracted driver. "I was lucky enough to walk away, although my car did not make it," Fanek mentions. When he got news that his car was beyond repair, it really put him down and made him realize one day you can have it all and at a snap of a finger, it can all be gone. Thoughts of having to start his build all from the start didn't sound too enticing especially when Fanek had just began building the M3. "I had a very specific vision for my car and one part of the vision I had was the fact that everyone who saw my car can enjoy the build as much as I do."
Since the accident, the smell of the airbag still haunts Fanek but he got himself together and said, "to hell with this! I am NOT giving up!" Fanek went car shopping to get the best possible deal, and ended up with the 2016 BMW M4 convertible which was a car he really wanted but couldn't fit in the budget. Keep in mind, the M3 was a dream car to Fanek. So the fact that he was able to get himself into an M4 convertible really put his head back into the game. "I worked so damn hard to complete the vision I had for my M3, and one year later, I came out even further than I thought I would when I completed this M4 build," states Fanek.
Fanek is amazed and grateful with the amount of attention the M4 convertible receives at shows and on the street. "I know I did what I intended which is having others enjoy my taste, my idea, my build." The M4 convertible is far from complete and constantly changes; Fanek has plan in the future to change the exterior wrap to a different color, wheels and much more!
