David Gutierrez has a unique story about this car. He grew up doing things his way and sometimes that got him into trouble. It also didn’t give him the opportunity to buy nice things for himself. "I was always attracted to nice cars," explains Gutierrez, "and was amazed by the modifications that people could do to them." When the first generation Chrysler 300 (2005-2010) came out, Gutierrez fell in love. As time went by and his kids had already grown to young men and had families of their own, It was at that time Gutierrez finally had time and money to spend on something for himself.
"I bought my 2007 Chrysler 300 from a dealer near San Diego," states Gutierrez. What sets his 300 apart from the others is that it is the long wheel base (LWB) model. It was sent to a company in Ohio (Accubuilt) and cut in half with 6 inches added to the car. This was technically the first modification done to it. "After that, it just snowballed."
Gutierrez has had many sponsors throughout the years. His 300 has been to SEMA in 2014, 2016 and 2017. "The Day of the Dead logo and the hashtag #DARK300 are mine and always led back to my car." Other accomplishments for Gutierrez happened when his 300 was in ABC's feature film Death 2, as well as music videos.
