Mark Durocher has always been a car guy, but came from humble (and ricer) beginnings. "I previously owned 2 Hyundai Tiburons," mentions Durocher, "and one looked like a straight Fast and the Furious car! But (it was) all-show-and-no-go." He ordered a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette on his 23rd birthday and couldn't believe how lucky he was. "After taking delivery 6 months later, I was shaking for the first couple of hours from excitement."
Durocher couldn't believe how much power the car had and how fast it was. "Never ever thought I'd need to modify it," states Durocher. He ended up taking the car to the road course, drag strip and a huge rally in Vancouver the first year he owned the corvette. The next fall, however, he caught the mod-bug.
"I ended up putting a supercharger and headers on it and then just never stopped."
The car now makes 840 whp and 750 lb-ft of torque and is one of the fastest C7 manuals in the world. "I have the goal of being the first 7-speed manual car in the country to be in the single digits, and I hope to accomplish that this summer," mentions Durocher. "It keeps my bank account low but a smile always on my face!"

"Tough call - between the supercharger and headers. Headers drastically changes the sound of the car to what you always picture when you hear a muscle car, but the thrill of the supercharger pushing you back into your seat is a feeling like nothing else."
