Monique Song purchased her 2011 BMW E89 Z4 as a university student looking for a daily driver to ease her commute. This is the first vehicle Song has owned under her name, and while doing her homework before making the big investment, she planned on buying a reasonably priced performance car. As it is with many auto enthusiasts, this translated into a GT-R, and then a Charger, and then a 2-door Mustang. Whatever she would ultimately decide, Song says there wasn't a single European manufacturer that made the short list. That was until a family friend put her in contact with a BMW salesman who found a hidden gem.
Previously-owned, the blue Z4 convertible was reasonably priced and matched Song’s personality to a T. Having already made significant modifications to both the engine and suspension, as well as the interior and exterior, Song says her next challenge is going to be an entirely new build.
